New Magnetic Lifter Boasts Even More Features!

The latest and most unique feature is the ability to partially de-gauss the load material, making release easier and leaving less residual magnetism in (magnetically) hard materials.

Traditionally, (manually operated) permanent magnetic lifters generate an external magnetic force through the rotation of a central rotor.  The orientation of the internal magnets will determine whether the magnetic flux is directed through the poles into the load or away from the poles at “OFF”.  Most designs involve a balancing of multiple magnets to avoid unwanted residual magnetism at the pole surface, but until now, harder materials are more likely to remain partially magnetized following release.

DocMagnet’s design allows for an additional lever position that will generate a small negative flux into the workpiece which helps counter the field originally induced into the material.
